Name: Ian Pinches
Position: Managing Director, Morpheus Consulting
Background: Ian is a certified Lean Six Sigma Programme Manager, PRINCE2 Practitioner and CCAB Chartered Accountant with an exceptional track record of delivery in diverse business cultures.
He has 12 years of successful project and programme delivery experience including such roles as: GE Capital Master Black Belt, AXA Life Joint Six Sigma Programme Manager (UK), Microsoft Senior Six Sigma Programme Manager (EMEA), Lloyd’s Register Mentor to the Group Director of Business Assurance, Work Stream Leader and Programme Resource Supplier (Global) and Health and Safety Executive Managing Consultant for Process Excellence.
The work under Ian’s leadership was recognised in the 2009 IQPC European Awards, UK Management Consultancies Association Awards and the British Quality Foundation Awards - being short listed and winning in a number of categories, including winning Best Start Up Programme in Europe for Lloyd’s Register (see news page).
Approach: As Managing Director of Morpheus Consulting Ian works closely with his Clients to build and assure customised programmes of work. Ian partners with senior managers to identify and agree realistic and attainable programme deliverables. Ian then maintains a close working relationship to assure the quality of delivery throughout the programme of work and beyond.

Name: Simon Carter
Position: Principal Consultant, Morpheus Consulting
Background: Simon is an outstanding individual with a proven track record within global organisations of achievement in lean project delivery, continuous improvement and business transformation. Sectors experience includes Aerospace, Manufacturing, Maritime MOD, Marine and Automotive. He is equipped with an ability to translate the development needs of the organisation & identify business development that continues to provide effective client solutions. Simon transforms these into clear and effective programmes utilising formal methodologies to achieve full implementation and deliver major commercial benefits.
A persuasive communicator, Simon is innovative, with strong personal integrity and a reputation for exceeding expectations and making things happen, combined with a real flair for identifying and nurturing the best people to create winning teams.


Name: Greg Britton
Position: Principal Consultant, Morpheus Consulting
Background: Greg is an accomplished Sigma Master Black Belt and change leader with a background in business and engineering disciplines and a proven track record in delivering world class results.
With experience built on a career spanning multiple industries with some of the world’s leading companies, he has developed an impressive skill set combining quality management, Six Sigma programme and project management, interpersonal, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.
Greg held responsibility for the deployment of Six Sigma in Microsoft EMEA, covering Support, Operations, IT and Finance and also, the development and implementation of the Quality Strategy for the Microsoft EMEA Customer Service and Support organisation. Since 2008, Greg has worked closely with Lloyd’s Register as Principal Consultant on a cultural change program to make the organisation more process led and change orientated. This change program included instilling a global Six Sigma programme, process management and Voice of the Customer. His flagship project was awarded Best Service Project in Europe at the IQPC 2009 Awards. He subsequently managed a work stream of ten projects in the areas of Sales, Finance, HR, Quality and IT using a combination of methodologies including Prince 2, DMAIC, DMADV and Lean. Currently he is engaged in re-engineering the complete suite of HR support processes and the HR operating model across all 42 EMEA countries in which Lloyds Register operates.


Name: Chris Hughes
Position: Principal Consultant, Morpheus Consulting
Background: Chris is a very experienced Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt and Change expert, and an accomplished Quality and Change trainer. Chris is GE trained with significant operations expertise. Key projects delivered include Call Quality (showcased as UK Customer Retention Best Practise), and a suite of projects led or mentored to improve Collections Effectiveness with multi million pound benefits. Chris joined the Morpheus Consulting team in March 2008 and divided his time between two of our clients in the charitable and public sectors. With the charitable client, Chris defined a bespoke change methodology and trained over 40 consultants and global change team members in the approach. This methodology was hugely successful and since its development, Morpheus Group has continued to use it as their standard change approach – ‘Chat’.
Chris also has a strong coaching capability, and was able to support our client’s internal consultants through tougher change projects and worked closely with the programme manager to define programme scope, communications and duration.
With our public sector client, Chris identified over £400k of opportunities within a few days of starting the engagement and supported the organisation in building an effective improvement strategy. The work Chris led for this client was short listed by the Management Consultancies Association in April 2009 in the award category ‘Best Public Sector Operational Improvement’.


Name: Ian Ormrod
Position: Lean Sigma Consultant
Background: Certified Lean Sigma Black Belt with extensive Business Development and Marketing experience in the service sector.
Dedicated to business growth, improving process and reducing costs whilst maintaining the very highest standards of quality and excellence in customer service with recent success in the Public Sector.
Proven leadership skills involving building, managing, developing and motivating teams to recognise and achieve their objectives against demanding targets.
Recent focus on the development and implimentation of a Marketing strategy for two Lean Sigma Consultancies and an associated RDR consultancy practice.
Abilities:
- Experienced service and public sector business improvement practitioner and consultant with recent clients such as the Health & Safety Executive and Local Government Authorities.
- Trainer and mentor for bespoke continuous improvement programmes having worked with public sector (Local Government) and a prominent distance retailer.
- Manager and leader of large and diverse operational service sector business development and direct sales teams.
- Accomplished Marketing manager having held senior positions with a market leading distance retailer and two lean sigma business improvement / training consultancies.
