1st & 2nd Line System Engineers – London – Financial Services / Consultancy – £Competitve
Fantastic opportunity with a growing consultancy who aim to be the leading technology service provider to the financial world. My client currently are looking for both 1st Line Systems Engineers and 2nd Line System Engineers. If you’re looking to join our team of System Engineers, you will have strong soft skills and a real drive to learn.
No prior industry experience is necessary, need to be passionate technologist in your own right.
Ideal candidate profile
·Recent technology graduate or ready to up your game by joining a high-calibre service provider to the financial sector
·Good customer service skills, including a professional and helpful telephone manner, the ability to relate effectively to users with differing levels of skills and experience;
·Reliable organisational skills with a logical approach to problem solving;
·Good communication and people skills;
·Receives coaching and mentoring well – always striving to improve and learn exactly how something functions;
An analytical mind that quickly grasps technical concepts, ideally with some technical exposure to a couple of technologies in our stack:

Key responsibilities include
·Working as part of the Service Desk providing 1st line technical support;
·Managing user expectations and ensuring user satisfaction for all incident resolutions;
·Responsible for escalation of incidents to more senior engineers as needed;
·Completing operational checks on a rota basis;
·Responsible for ensuring incidents are logged with third party suppliers and other departments as required;
·Remote management of business-critical products and service levels, desktop and server configuration;
·Out of hours scheduled work reactive to business needs (paid at an enhanced overtime rate);
Participating in an on-call rota for out of hours incidents
