Management Consultant – Cost Transformation  Seniority: Manager – Senior Manager Location: UK (hybrid)  What will you be doing? As a member of our team you will help shape and drive a breadth of exciting & transformational work across all our industry market sectors (Financial Services, Products & Services, Energy & Resources, Pharmaceutical & Lifesciences and Central Government) Organisational Transformation is about partnering with our clients to solve their most complex problems. Our approach is to bring together our deep expertise in cost optimisation, operations strategy, organisation design and process reengineering to design a solution that meets that specific client’s need. Our people have the opportunity to work with our clients on really interesting projects, for example a candidate may: Help clients address complex strategic, operational, and organisational cost issues Determine the most appropriate cost approach, tailored to the client needs Mobilise and lead elements of multi-disciplinary cost transformation programmes Support development of our cost optimisation proposition for our target clients Demonstrate a pragmatic approach to analysis and problem solving, with the ability to structure client issues and implement conceptual models in complex environments Define and agree the Cost Optimisation Road Map for our clients Design and execute analysis to support the development of evidence-based insights, including baseline, performance and operating cost reviews Rapidly identify and validate a range of hypotheses and quantify benefit cases Create side-by-side comparisons, identifying key cost drivers, explaining cost gaps and prioritising areas of focus during supplier negotiations. Identify and act upon opportunities to improve Clients cost management procedures, templates, and governance Synthesize financial performance to business stakeholders as insights What are we looking for? We are looking for great people with experience in a selection of the following: Leading cost transformations and efficiency programmes Delivering operational strategy or cost reduction projects Working in a Deals environment or experience in Operational Due Diligence ACA/CIMA qualified, with an Accounting degree or experience in managing a £2m+ P&L Performing robust analysis covering baseline, quantification of opportunities and benefit cases Working with ambiguity in a very fast paced environment Demonstrating applied thinking and intellectual curiosity Strong numerical and analytical skills, combined with sound commercial acumen and advanced modelling skills Knowledge of cost analysis techniques including zero based budgeting, spans and layers analysis, activity analysis and benchmark analysis Experience in benefit management and implementation planning
